Happy Dance Time

dancing-girl-556772_1280Doing my happy dance right now, because I just finished my final edit of my version of Cinderella for the Passion-Filled Fairy Tales series. I got a great start with the Princess, the Pea & the Night of Passion and followed up with Beauty & Her Beastly Love, but then things just fizzled. It took me forever to really finish Cinderella (I finished at the end of June). Since then, I’ve been editing, revising, having some people read it to get feedback.

Tonight, I finished the last round of edits I wanted to do myself. Next up, I’ll be sending it to the editor, and getting the cover done. Woo hoo! So excited, I felt the need to write this blog post.  It really does feel good to get one finished. 🙂

In other news, I got behind on my Trysts series because of vacation and Cinderella. But, the newest one, Tryst No. 4, should be back from the editor tomorrow, and it will be published by Aug. 20. So, stay tuned if you’re waiting. Both books will be part of Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited program and you’ll be able to borrow them at no cost.

Summer is Getting Away From Me

pool-690034_1280Happy hump day to you. I have no idea why I so often write to you on hump day.  (Some psychologist or psychiatrist out there could probably offer up some decent theories, I’m sure.)

Anyway, jut wanted to write a quick check-in blog post to say, Hello, and let you know I’m sending Jack & Brenda to the editor tomorrow. I went on vacation to my family reunion for a week, and have had trouble getting back into the swing of things, so I do apologize. However, my kids are in camp this week, and it’s my hope to finish the first edit of my Cinderella re-telling, so that tale can get further on the path to publication.

In other news, I’ve changed my free perk for mailing list subscribers. If you sign up for the list, you can get a free electronic copy of The Princess, the Pea and the Night of Passion.  That’s a great intro into the Passion-Filled Fairy Tales series. It’s received great reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. If you haven’t done so already, you can sign up for the mailing list here (instructions on getting your free ebook follow the signup process).

That’s about it for me today. How about you? Is your summer going well? Are you getting things done or are all the vacations making it hard for you to tick stuff off the To Do list?

Ampersands are Sexy

AmpersandFor my Romance: Trysts series,  the stories are numbered and titled with the two main character’s names. On each book, an ampersand (&) is used to join the names. I love this. I think ampersands are super sexy. Why?

  • It looks a bit like two joined people, united, embracing
  • It’s very fluid, just like a good romance.
  • It seems to want to curl around you and embrace you.

It’s the perfect joinder for two words,  so I love the way it looks on a cover.  I’m actually a little disappointed that some sites don’t read ampersands in html, so I have join the title names with “and.” While and is great in a sentence, it doesn’t look sexy, not the way an ampersand does.

So, what do you think? Are ampersands sexy? Are there any other symbols or punctuation marks you guys find sexy?

A lovely promotion … thanks!

bb_cover_normalskin2I ended my promotion for Beauty & Her Beastly Love Monday morning, while the Tryst No. 3: Tristan & Blair free promo ended on Sunday at 12:01 am PST. I thought both promos went pretty well.

I have been really excited to see the number of borrows for Beauty & Her Beastly Love. Under the new Amazon system, you can see how many pages have been read of your book, and it’s pretty neat. Seems like people are really blasting through the book quickly, as one moment, there will be no pages read, and a few hours later, my pages read chart will read 400 pages. So, a nice surprise.

If you have Kindle Unlimited, Beauty & Her Beastly Love is available for a read that’s free to you.  It’s a fairly quick read, just 105 pages, and packed with romance, so I hope you’ll take a chance on it and check it out.

That’s it for now. Hope you have a great rest of the week.

May your love stay in bloom,

Rosetta

Wednesday Sale Kickoff, Thursday Freebies

bb_cover_normalskin2Happy hump day to you. I hope all is going well for you.

I just wanted to let you all know that I’m kicking off a 99-cent sale for Beauty and Her Beastly Love today. The story is a steamy retelling of the classic Beauty and the Beast story (that fairy tale was first publisehd in 1756). If you haven’t read Beauty and Her Beastly Love, definitely consider picking it up.  Reviewers have said.

“Absolutely awesome twist on the timeless fairytale!”

“I think I enjoyed this one even more than The Princess and the Pea, and I really loved it.”

The sale will run from today (July 15) through Sunday (July 19).  Beauty and her Beastly Love is regularly $2.99, so it’s a huge savings.

trysts1DrCarterSinncoupleContrastAdditionally, you can pick up the first book in the Romance: Trysts series, Dr. Carter & Mrs. Sinn, for free. Amazon price-matched the book yesterday, so it’s available FREE online at the following stores: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, Kobo, Apple and Inktera.

Finally, tomorrow, one additional tale in the Trysts series will be free for three days, July 16-18. Check back here tomorrow and I’ll let you know which one.

Dr. Carter and Mrs. Sinn Permanently Free in most Places

trysts1DrCarterSinncoupleContrastHappy hump day to you. I just wanted to let you know that the beginning short in my Romance: Trysts series is now free at most online stores. And it’s going to stay free.

You can grab it free at Barnes & Noble, the Google Play Store,  Kobo, AppleScribD and Inktera.

lowerprice

Under Product Details, you can tell Amazon about a lower price.

The book is being sold for 99 cents on Amazon, because Amazon does not allow authors to set the price of a book as free. When Amazon learns the book is free elsewhere, the company will match the price. Amazon hasn’t matched the price to free yet. Hopefully, they’ll make a change soon. If not, feel free to alert them yourselves, as they take customer concerns seriously. There’s a link called,  “tell us about  a lower price” at the bottom of the Product Details section (I’ve circled it in a screenshot to the right).

If you haven’t read Dr. Carter & Mrs. Sinn, do check it out. It’s a fun, short frolic.  Here’s the book trailer.

Nikki & Mike Book Trailer

Happy Monday to you. I hope you had a great July 4 weekend.

If you didn’t get enough fireworks over the weekend, you’re welcome to check out any of my Trysts books, where you’ll see some romantic fireworks play out. 🙂

Over the weekend, I was in a book trailer mood, so I made a trailer for the Tryst No. 2, Nikki & Mike. I’m going to make one for Tristan & Blair, too. Just haven’t done it yet. In the mean time, check out the Nikki & Mike trailer.

A firefighter with a foot fetish?

trysts4jackandbrenda_reducedHappy hump day to you.

Just thought I’d check in with a quick cover reveal.

I’m finalizing the fourth short in the Trysts series. This one, Jack and Brenda, focuses on Jack, the firefighter, who ends up helping a stranded nurse, Brenda. I  go a little quirky here, as Jack has a thing for feet. This one, like the others, is a lot of fun and fully of sexy. And of course, it’s short. Hoping to get this one out to you guys by the 15th.

In the meantime, here’s the cover.

Also, as a quick note, I’ll have some good news later this week, I hope. I pulled Dr. Carter & Mrs. Sinn from the Kindle Unlimited program last week. As I’d mentioned in a previous post, the program is undergoing some changes, and I’m still trying to figure things out. As such, I wanted to try Dr. Carter & Mrs. Sinn as an introductory short to the series, and expand it to distribution at other sites. Unfortunately, it’s not getting to those sites as quickly as I had hoped. I uploaded it to the distributor on Sunday night, but  and it hasn’t shown up on either the Nook, Kobo or Apple sites. 😦 Not sure what the delay is, but I’ll write a quick post once the book goes live at those sites and I get the links. Of course, the good news part is the price for this introductory short. If you’d like a hint, check out Dr. Carter & Mrs. Sinn over at the Google Play Store (which uploaded immediately). It will be that price at the other stores once it’s uploaded. It’s not that price at Amazon yet, but I’ll talk more about that in my later post.

That’s it for today. Have a happy hump day.
